The 64-slice configuration provides a best-in-class scan time of 0.4 second full gantry rotation as well as multi-cycle reconstruction MaxCycle™ to achieve temporal resolution as low as 53 milliseconds. Somatom 64-slice also empowers clinicians with unparalleled cardiac imaging, including calcium scoring as well as retrospective and prospective gating.
Several Siemens-exclusive features make it the ideal system for routine applications. For example, Spiral Auto Start lets us monitor the contrast injection and initiate and stop scans without leaving the scan room. Also, DoseRight™ offers both prospective and dynamic exposure controls to ensure lowest dose with constant image quality.
